Our Programs
Nido 1
This is our first toddler stage. In our Nido 1 classroom we receive children from 1 year old to 2 and a half years old.
In an environment that invites children to play and feel comfortable, we do activities with them to develop their skills, according to the Florida Standards for children Birth to 3 years of age.
Our philosophy focuses on nurturing and encouraging children to learn in a way that comes most naturally to them; by observing and investigating their surroundings through multi-sensory experiences. Almost all of the activities that make up their day will be first hand, hands on activities where each child will get a chance to personally experience, and therefore learn about, the given theme or subject.
The curricula that we use for this class are “Baby Doll Circle Time“, and “Beyond Cribs and Rattles“. Both of these curricula align with our philosophy of education and enrich the educational experience.
The experiences provided to our students will build reasoning skills through specific activities designed to provoke thoughtful contemplation in the children. The modeling and guiding of the teacher and their peers will furnish the children with the examples of accepted social practices in their educational context.
As in all the classes, each child is stimulated at their own pace using a scaffolding system, in order to help the student develop according to their own skill levels.
Nido 2
This is our second toddle stage. In Nido 2 we receive children from 2 and a half years old to 3 and a half years old.
In an environment that invites children to play and feel comfortable, we do activities with them to develop their skills, according to the Florida Standards for children Birth to 3 years of age.

This stage is the perfect time to start Potty Training and is given great emphasis in the classroom. When children leave Nido 2 they are completely trained and ready to start the next stage of their life: Preschool.
Bambini 3 & 4
This is the first stage of Preschool; ages vary from 3 to 4 and a half years old. In order to be accepted in this classroom, the child must be completely ready physically, socially, and emotionally as well as being completely potty trained. These skills will ensure that they will be up to the challenges and activities that are presented to them and they will surpass and grow their abilities even further.
The class is built upon children’s more developed vocabulary which allows for collaboration and communication to become the cornerstones of all activities.
Children are encouraged to work in small peer groups to research and design their projects, form hypotheses, investigate processes and draw conclusions. This encourages children to articulate and defend their ideas, building confidence in their ability to form individual opinions and become the authors of their own learning journeys. Explorations are based on long term projects throughout each year, allowing students to build upon previously mastered concepts, and thus deepen their ability to learn.
students will expereicne a daily schedule full of hands-on activities and projects in order to learn through the creation their own conclusions.
Florida standards for children 3 to 5 years are the basis of our lesson plans, along with the extra support of the “Creative Curriculum“.
By the end of the school year children are ready for the second stage of Preschool, commonly referred to as VPK in Florida.
Bambini 5, 6 & 7
This is the last stage in a child’s preschool life. Ages are from 4 to 5 years of age. This class is built around acquiring the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful in Kindergarten and beyond. Our lesson plans and curriculim follow the Florida standards for 4 years old, also know as Voluntary Pre Kindergarten (VPK), in a format that allows children to develop their thinking skills and problem solving.
Immersed in our “Reggio Emilia Philosophy“, students are encouraged to research their projects and investigations and from hypotheses to conclusions. This encourages children to articulate and defend their ideas, building confidence in their ability to form individual opinions and become the authors of their own learning journeys.
The curricula that we use for this class are “The Land of the Letter People“, “Starfall“, and “Creative Curriculum“.
By the end of the school year, children will be ready to successfully start kindergarten.
